Our Liturgy
The Sacrament of the Holy Eucharist is not an earned reward for one's behavior. It is a gift freely given by God to impart to all the baptized, of all denominations, the grace necessary for our salvation. Therefore, we welcome all to the Holy Table of Christ and refuse Communion to no person who seeks it reverently. Christ did not refuse to feed the physically or spiritually hungry — neither do we.
Holy Spirit Ecumenical Catholic Church is committed to the welcome and inclusion of all people in our worship and life.
Following the tradition of the Eastern Churches, our altar bread is leavened and prepared by our parishioners. In addition to the traditional elements of bread and wine consecrated for the Body and Blood of Christ, we also consecrate pure grape juice for those persons who wish to receive in this form.
Please, join us each Sunday at 10:30 a.m. as we celebrate the joyful liturgy of our Old Catholic identity. Old Catholicism is based on Christian community life as it was practiced in the early, unified Church—before the first of several schisms tore Christianity apart. Our church is located at 1141 Ponce de Leon Blvd. (off of Clearwater-Largo Road), Clearwater, Florida. Click here for directions.
You are cordially invited to share in a social following Mass each Sunday.
